New Exodus

I just listened to the sample, not the whole thing. Sounds better than the Atrocity Exhibition, but still kinda slow and boring. Vocals are a little better though.

The Atrocity Exhibit was very not good. Hopefully the average song length is less than the like 10 minutes of Atrocity Exhibit A. Recently I have begun to like Exodus less and less, even the older stuff. The need to get rid of Rob Dukes and enter Sean Killian on vocals.

Yeah, that's the first thing i checked with this new song, it's only 3:33 or something.

I've tried my hardest to get into Exodus... But... *sigh* I just can't do it.

Their first few albums are solid. I just have come to think of them as massively overrated. Also, Rob Dukes just doesn't do anything for me on vocals. He seems like a nice enough guy but his vocals drive me away.

That Exodus song is pretty solid. I would like Dukes more if he didn't try to be like Souza with a gruffer voice.

Surprisingly, that Hypocrisy song is pretty good. I haven't heard anything good from them in a long time. I might have to check out that CD, I assume it's off the one they put out last year.

Other than those two songs, though, that sampler is lame. Ironically I heard Threat Signal for the first time last night and thought how incredibly shitty they were. The song on this sampler doesn't change my mind at all.

I agree with this statement. Bonded By Blood is a great album, Pleasures of the Flesh and Fabulous Disaster are both really good. Then they got kinda boring, but I think Tempo of the Damned is awesome. Then SHKM was alright, that's the album that got me into them, but AE was terrible. I think if they got Souza back they could be alright again. Rob Dukes is a douche.

Jesus I wasn't even thinking about Bonded In Blood, that album was pretty solid. I'm pretty sure Force of Habit is when they started the slow and agonizing roll down hill. I kept getting emails about the Atrocity Exhibit because apparently the did a promotional overhaul for that album. After listening to the first three tracks I decided I would try listening to the rest later and I still havent.

They're not that bad, I just don't think they're good for a thrash band. Especially not good enough to follow Baloff or Souza. Killian would be a good replacement.

Exodus has always been a thrash band that I've enjoyed but, the current path they've been on has kept me somewhat uninterested. Bonded By Blood is classic and, I don't think there is a bad song on it, Pleasures of the Flesh I always thought was a very underrated album from them and I tend to listen to it the most, Fabulous Disaster I like but, it's nowhere near as good as the first two, all three are classic Exodus in my opinion.

Impact Is Imminent is alright but, at times they did that groove metal shit too much, Force of Habit to me marked the end of thrash like many other bands at this time. Tempo of the damned was a great album, SHKM I liked but, the lyrics to "Raze" are some of the worst lyrics ever, the redone Bonded By Blood was a huge mistake and The Atrocity Exhibition... Exhibit A was too long and boring.

In terms of thrash currently for me

Interested in Future Albums: Testament, Overkill, Megadeth, Sodom, Destruction

Maybe Interested In: Kreator, Voivod, Exodus

Absolutely Not Interested In (Bands i gave up on): Metallica, Slayer, Sepultura, Anthrax

Move Megadeth down one and Exodus up one, and I'd agree with that 100%.

Hopefully a new Testament album won't take as long. Their last one was the balls.
